Where has the time gone? - it's LAPCPADPOUB Day already. I'm not sure whether even Happy Mouffetard will be celebrating this year, but I feel honour bound to do something to mark the day, as it is also the second anniversary of my blog. I haven't had a lot of time (about ten minutes while I was putting the shopping away just now) but I've managed to throw together my own dire poem this year:
There once was a kitten named Pickle
Who would purr if you gave him a nickel,
But if you wouldn't pay
He just wandered away,
As he really was terribly fickle.
The cat photos - as you may have noticed - aren't mine, however - my pictures of my childhood cat* are pre-digital, and I haven't had time to scan any. I found these photos on this very useful site - a collection of public domain images which are free for anyone to use.
As usual, I'm playing catch-up with all things online - this is starting to get embarrassing, and I really need to prioritise a bit better. I'm still planning to start another blog for my garden visit photos just as soon as I can find a photo-hosting site which does slideshows I like; I'm still planning to finish my garden links page, and to create some more pages; and if I haven't visited your blog lately, I'm still planning to get there as soon as I can. One of these days I will also have time to actually sort all my photos - I'm currently about 18 months behind doing this and have given up trying to post them in any semblance of chronological order. All I need is about 4 more hours every day and I'll soon be making progress ... .
* my cat's second name was Pickle - I'm not mentioning his first name because I like to maintain privacy on the internet - the fact that it's much harder to find a rhyme for it is pure co-incidence ;)
Edit: I've removed the photos from this post as they kept disappearing - perhaps it wasn't such a useful site after all.

I'm sure your cat is very grateful for your respect of his privacy.
(Is his first name Mr.? Or Hammond?)
:-D No - and nor was it Branston.
